Safer Driving at Work with Vicky Lovell is an advanced driving e-learning course designed to help you consider driving safety from a fresh perspective - perfect for anyone getting back behind the wheel as COVID-19 lockdown eases.

 

While our roads are safer today than they have ever been, driving - either for work or in leisure time - remains one of the highest risk activities we carry out on a regular basis.  With the overwhelming majority of incidents caused by human factors, this course offers advice on simple things we can all do to reduce the risks to ourselves, any passengers and other road users.

 

Safer Driving at Work addresses key elements of advanced and defensive driving techniques using the C.O.A.S.T. acronym - Concentration, Observation, Anticipation, Space and Time.  Users are then encouraged to practice their skills by viewing a number of short filmed car journeys to pick out hazards and features before Vicky gives her own commentary on the trips.  At relevant points, interactive questions test understanding, and users also have to successfully complete a quiz at the end of the course to release their completion certificate.

Vicky Lovell

 

Vicky is one of the UK's most respected driving safety professionals, with over thirty years' experience.  She appeared as the on-screen safety expert in CBBC's popular Driving Academy series, and in 2012 was a member of the team who won the Prince Michael International Award for Driver Education.  Through her company Arrive Alive Ltd., Vicky also delivers memorable face-to-face workshops and in-car training.

 

Successful completion of Safer Driving at Work attracts one CPD (continuing professional development) credit.
